PERSONAL BIO
I am Anne-Sophie and I guess you have a taste for adventure just like me. I am currently enrolled in a Mass Communication degree at Curtin Mauritius and majoring in Web Media and Marketing. When I am not studying or keeping my eyes on a screen (happens rarely but it does happen), I am hiking and enjoying the stunning landscape and nature around me. I never knew that since an early age, hiking would have become one of the best hobbies for me. Living in a city where I am mainly surrounded by buildings and not enough nature, hiking has also become for me an amazing way of being in a new peaceful environment where I can spend time in nature, escape the daily routine and enjoy the fresh air for a day.

For my avatar, I chose an image of myself on my first hiking excursion to the highest mountain peak of Mauritius, Piton de la Petite Riviere Noire with my scout group in 2014. This might not be the best or recent picture of me but the main reason why I chose this picture is simply because it reminds me of this unique experience where I discovered for the first time how amazing it is to climb on top of a mountain and to see the natural beauty of my island with its breathtaking view. At this moment, I also realized how hiking can be such a peaceful way of being connected with nature and far away from academic studies.
